How to Maintain Financial Aid Eligibility Federal regulations require UNCW to establish Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress in the following areas: Cumulative GPA (qualitative) Hours Earned (quantitative) Maximum hours to degree/certificate completion Maintain a 2.0 GPA Complete at least 67% of all attempted hours. Do not exceed maximum timeframe to complete all degree or program requirements – 186 for undergraduate students
