Gensuite ® Compliance Calendar & Training Calendar – Microsoft Outlook Integration To set your computer to allow Compliance Calendar or Training Calendar Task Reminder emails to be added to your Microsoft Outlook Calendar, follow these steps! Step 1: Double click the My Computer icon on your desktop. Step 2: Go to the Tools menu and select Folder Options.vcs File Setup
Gensuite ® Step 3: Select the File Types tab. Check to see if the VCS file type is in the list. If it is, skip to Step 6. If it is not in the list, click the New button and type VCS in the File Extension text box. Click OK..vcs File Setup (cont’d) Step 4: Select the VCS file extension from the list and click the Advanced button.
Gensuite ® Step 5: Click the Change Icon button and type the following in the File Name text box: C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office\1033\OUTLLIBR.DLL Then select the calendar icon (see highlighted icon in screen shot above right.) Then click OK..vcs File Setup (cont’d)
Gensuite ® Step 6: Click the Edit button (or New if you do not have the open action) and type the following into the Application used to perform Action text box (include quotes): “C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE”/vcal “%1” *Please include the quotation marks, if this is not the path to your Outlook program file please adjust accordingly. The click OK. Step 7: If checked, uncheck the Confirm Open after Download and Always show Extension boxes. Click OK, then Close. YOU ARE NOW DONE! Please generate a Compliance Calendar task and test the Outlook Integration link in the Task Reminder Email. Contact the Gensuite Team with any questions. Once these steps are complete, you can click the link provided in the Task Reminder email to add the task to your personal Outlook Calendar and it will automatically generate an appointment request for your review and addition!.vcs File Setup (cont’d)
