4. What you really need to know! A graph used to compare parts of a whole is called a circle graph. In a circle graph, the percents add up to 100. When percents are not given, you must first determine what part of the whole each item represents.

14. Example 3: The circle graph shows the percent of voters in a town who are registered with a political party. Use the graph to describe the voters in this town.
