3  Academics – Does the school have your major?  Admissions Requirements – Can you get in?  Costs – Can you afford it?  Location - Where will you live?  Size – Large, Medium, Small?  Campus Resources – What’s available if you need help?  Social Activities – What do you like to do?

4  Ask questions  Attend College Fairs / Visits – ask questions!  Look at College Guidebooks/Resources  Visit College Websites/Publications  Visit!!!

5  Complete the Admissions Application  Submit Your Admissions Documents  High School Transcript  Dual Enrollment Transcript  SAT/ACT Score  AP/CLEP Scores  Recommendation Letters  Admissions Essay Watch for the Priority Deadlines!

6  Do not choose a college without visiting.  Do not choose a college just because your friends go/will be going there.  Go ahead and apply to a “Reach School” but always apply to a couple you feel confident you’ll be admitted to and at least one that you KNOW you will be admitted to.  Deadlines are firm and real at most institutions. Don’t miss them!
