3. We solved an open- ended problem while working as a team.

4. Our Problem was to design a device that made the production of butter a simple task for one human alone. Butter is thought to have been made as early as 9000 and 8000 BC. It is thought to have been made by the same method still used today in some parts of Africa: A goat or sheep skin is half filled with milk, then inflated with air and sealed. It is then hung with ropes on a tripod of sticks and rocked back and forth until the butter is formed. There are many ways to make it today, such as churning, shaking, and stirring heavy cream. In our device, the cream will mixed rapidly by a food processor.
