2. Thesis Thoroughly research and learn about the religion of Buddhism.

3. Introducing Buddhism… Originated: 500 B.C. In India Most common in the south part of Asia. (Japan, Tibet, Laos, etc) 350 million people worldwide practice this religion. The key figure of this religion is the Siddhartha Gautama.

4. Beliefs They believe on the teachings of The Buddha, its leader. Meditation is a way of training, calming and purifying the mind. They think that life is a repeating cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Their main goal in life is to achieve the state of enlightenment to break free of the cycle. They believe in karma( good action will lead to a more favorable rebirths than bad ones). They believe in the Four Noble Truths and the Middle Way.

5. The Four Nobel Truths 1. Life means suffering.(The human nature is not perfect and neither is the world we live in) 2. The origin of suffering is attachment. (Craving objects, including self and material things) 3. The cessation of suffering is attainable. (End of suffering comes from release from cravings) 4. The path to the cessation of suffering. (The Eightfold Path)

6. The Buddha Siddharta Gautama, is the leader of the religion. Recognized corruption in human life Believed in the life cycle and strived for a way to be released ◦ Practiced meditation, reached enlightenment and became the Buddha. Spread teachings through formation of Sangha (Monks and nuns)
