3 Highway Hypnosis  This Can be avoided by not looking at any one thing for more than a few seconds.

4 Communicating with other drivers  The Best way to communicate with other drivers is to use your horn and lights

5 3 second-plus rule - Your car should be more than 3 seconds behind the car in front. - Used to keep a safe following distance.

6 Wet Roads  Road surfaces are most slippery during the first few minutes of rainfall.

7 Hydroplaning  Wet Road surfaces can cause a car to drive up on a film of water at speeds starting around 35 MPH. To Avoid Hydroplaning: -Do not drive on bald tires -Slow down in heavy rain -In a rain storm try to drive on the highest point on the roadway.

8 Driving at Night Drive within the range of the headlights. You must be able to stop within the distance that you can see ahead.

9 Construction Zones  In constructions zones or 65 MPH zones then traffic fines are DOUBLED!!!!

10 City Driving  A good habit is to look 12 seconds ahead  Must watch for pedestrians, heavy traffic and other possible distractions. Drive more slowly.
