Executive Summary Business Problem: – Different movie formats are separate title (& release) records in the app – The app does not have an efficient view of the detail formats and the totals – Therefore, data entry & tracking is inefficient and potentially error-prone – Planning and adjusting multi-format releases is extremely cumbersome – The data structure makes BOBJ Reporting and MS Access reporting extremely complex, time consuming, and error-prone to program for clients (and I.T.) – Multi-format releases are becoming more prevalent, making the situation almost unmanageable given client deadlines for release reporting 3

4. Proposed Solution 1.Revise data structure to have one title to contain data for the multiple formats (one release at territory level). Separate titles/releases could continue to be used for multi-formats and reissues that release in widely different timeframes 2.Provide app screens to show totals for the title and the individual format figures in an easy to use manner 3.The new data structure would make BOBJ and MS Access reporting straightforward 4.Ensure that multi-format releases can be seamlessly compared to single/stand-alone releases 5.Data conversion - convert selected existing data to the new structure 4
