2 National Alliance for Medical Image Computing http://na-mic.org Information about Site PI: Allen Tannenbaum Dr. Allen Tannenbaum is the Julian Hightower Professor of Engineering at Georgia Tech. He holds appointments both the Departments of ECE and BME. As an applied mathematician, he has done work in medical imaging, computer vision, image processing, control, active vision, systems theory, and computational algebra.

4 National Alliance for Medical Image Computing http://na-mic.org How NAMIC Fits into Portfolio NAMIC constitutes a major effort of the MINERVA Laboratory directed by Allen Tannenbaum at Georgia Tech. The MINERVA Group works on projects in medical imaging, computer vision, automatic control, and controlled active vision. The Group receives funding from NSF, ARO, AFOSR, MRI, MURI, and NIH. The NAMIC project at the MINERVA Laboratory is our key program in developing basic algorithms for medical imaging and their transition to the medical imaging community.
