Rules for Dialogue  Exact words of characters will go inside a set of QUOTATIONS  First word of the quote is always a CAPITAL letter  Each speaker has their own paragraph (always indent)  Tag Lines (he said, she said) should be used, but not too much. You should vary them so you are not repetitious  Always use a comma AFTER the TAG LINE when introducing a quote  Always place the PERIOD INSIDE the quotation mark
