3 DOMAIN: EUKARYA Meaning cells with organelles

4 KINGDOM: ANIMALIA – multicellular, are motile at some point in their life cycle and tend to be fixed as adults into a body plan

5 PHYLUM: CHORDATA organisms possessing a notochord, a hollow dorsal nerve cord, pharyngeal slits, an endostyle, and a post-anal tail for at least some period of their life cycles

6 SUBPHYLUM: VERTEBRATA having a vertebral column

7 CLASS: TETRAPODA having four feet, legs or appendages

8 ORDER: AMPHIBIA  Being tetrapods (4 limbs) that facilitate moving about on land - these limbs evolved from the pectoral and pelvic fins  Skin is thin, soft, glandular and magid (lack scales except in the caecilians) - skin of caecilians with scales similar to those of fish  Ectothermic  Both gill and lung breathers - usually gills in the larval stage, replaced by lungs in the adult; cutaneous respiration in many  Three-chambered heart with two atria and one ventricle
