Step 1: Shift the decimal point of both numbers to the right until the divisor becomes a whole number.
Step 2: Divide as usual (Ignore any decimal point in the “house”)
Step 3: If there is a decimal still in the house, move it up directly in the quotient as it is in the dividend

6. Divide 5.39 by 1.1 2. Ignore the decimal in the house and DIVIDE.
