WHAT ARE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS?  This is to try and prevent arguments from occurring or people leaving inappropriate comments.

WHAT ARE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS?  The website or application may delete your post if they feel that what you have posted is breaking any rules that they have set or is causing unnecessary hate towards others.

WHAT ARE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS?  Websites and applications often allow others to comment on other people’s channels allowing for feedback or constructive criticism.  However it must also be noted that this can also lead to someone people leaving inappropriate comments which can lead to arguments.

WHAT ARE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS?  Most websites and applications allow you to block other users meaning that they cannot comment on any of your posts.

WHAT ARE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS?  Any previous comments can also be deleted upon request however it may vary depending on the website or application.

BLOGS AND VLOGS  Blogs are where users are able to post information in the form of text, this means that users can explain events which may have occurred or things which have happened each day.

BLOGS AND VLOGS  Blogs are regularly updated by the author of that blog which is why many people follow them to find out how different events develop. E.g. Creative Blog

BLOGS AND VLOGS  Vlogs are similar to Blogs except instead of being In the form of text they are in the form of videos.

BLOGS AND VLOGS  They have the same purpose as Blogs in documenting different events on a daily basis. Various YouTubers make Vlogs as well as the content that they originally post. E.g. Roman Atwood

PODCASTS  Podcasts are where someone has pre- recorded a session, this maybe where they are discussing something or doing a certain activity.

PODCASTS  Most podcasts are sound only however there are enhanced podcasts which also allow images to be displayed. These images are then synced with the audio as they maybe downloaded separately.

PODCASTS  Podcasts are usually free online to download and have gained popularity on portable devices.  These require a pod catcher (an application which streams the podcast to the user or downloads it for them).  A pod catcher can also be set to automatically update and download new podcasts which are in a series. E.g. The Ricky Gervais show

WEB PAGES  Web pages are accessed by using a browser e.g. Google chrome, safari and Firefox.  They contain a navigation bar which allows the user to travel from one page to another.  When the user enters the web address the browser searches for the matching web page.

WEB PAGES  Web pages can contain various amounts of information. This maybe in the form of text, videos, sound or links to other web pages.

WEB PAGES  Wikipedia provides information about different things in the world, BBC News provides information about events around the world in the forms of text, video and sound.

WEB PAGES  Both web pages provides links as to where the information was sourced or related information to what you are currently viewing.

VIDEO CONFERENCING  Video conferencing is where two different locations communicate with each other at the same time.

VIDEO CONFERENCING  This is done by two-way audio and video transmission which allows multiple groups of people to communicate with each other simultaneously.

VIDEO CONFERENCING  With the addition of fibre optics, better computer processors and video cards cost has decreased and availability of this has increased dramatically. E.g. Polycom

VIDEO CONFERENCING  This has been implemented in multiple areas such as overseas businesses, media, and education reducing unnecessary travel and cultural barriers between countries.
