1 Airfield Markings The Contractor/Pilot Perspective

2 The pilot’s perspective Where is the airfield! Where is the runway I am looking for! How do I get to my destination without making a wrong turn!

3 Contractors Perspective How can there be 2 runways on the same strip of pavement? Where do we start laying out? The nails. I can see the runway, but how can I get there to work easily? The plans seem to be clear, but there is a note “ Conform to the latest AC 150-5340-1K” No one mentioned “ AC 150/5370-10E”

4 Contractors Perspective Who am I REALLY working for? The engineer is the direct report. But maintenance personnel are circling like sharks. Why is operations interested in the detail sheets on my plans? Who is the other engineer that stops by to ask questions?
