23 Word Study: Context Clues The sentences below are from Bernd Heinrich’s nonfiction excerpt. Find the context clue to determine the meanings of the bold words. 1. The problem was: how to prepare to run that far?...it seemed only natural for me to look to other “endurance athlete” species to see why and how it’s done, and for tips on how to train. 2. These hunters were running in one directions, from left to right across the rock face… But then I noticed something more… It was the figure farthest to the right, the one leading the progression.
