To change the logo to your own, right- click the picture “replace with LOGO” and choose Change Picture. The Brotherhood Badge is presented to new members after initiation. The Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity’s primary colors are emerald and pearl. The secondary colors are black and gold. The Emerald represents the jealousy with which we strive towards our goals. The pearl represents the purity of our intents and the black represents the veil of perfect secrecy that encompasses anything and everything that passes behind the fraternity’s closed doors. There are five symbols that represent the Alpha Delta Phi. They are the Crescent, Star, Sword, Spear and Monument. The Star denotes the fixedness of our purpose, the crescent the ever increasing glory of our Fraternity. The Sword and Spear denote the zeal with which we defend our brothers while living.. The Monument denotes the respect we give to brothers after their death. THE ALPHA DELTA PHI “Manus Multae Cor Unum” Covenant Article 1: Follow the rules Article 2: Accept punishment graciously Article 3: Keep good morals and ethics Article 4: Do a favor Article 5: Keep good academics Article 6: Be honest Article 7: Always be there for a brother Article 8: Secure the future of the fraternity Article 9: Keep a veil of perfect secrecy Article 10: Smother rumors about brothers or the chapter Samuel Eells The Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity is a literary Fraternity founded by a 19 th century philosopher by the name of Samuel Eells. The Alpha Delta Phi was founded in 1832 at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. Out of all the different Fraternities that still have active chapters, we are the 3 rd oldest.

Among them are the following; Franklin D. Roosevelt – US President Theodore Roosevelt – US President Salmon P. Chase – Secretary of Treasury Chris Miller – Author of Animal House Jeremy “Ben” Stein – Actor (Animal House) Stephen Collins – Actor (7 th Heaven) Grant Tinker – President NBC David Packard – Founder of Hewlett- Packard Computer Corp. The “Animal House” was based of off the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. The Florida State Chapter of The Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity was founded in 2009. We started with 12 founders and in 6 semesters have grown to 75 active members. We doubled in size after each individual pledge class over the past three semesters with this past semester’s class being the largest in chapter history thus far. Over the course of the past couple years, we have grown out of 3 houses and currently reside in our 4 th. The Florida State University’s chapter of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity is currently located on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and College Ave. In the fall of 2012 we initiated the founders to the newly colonized Alpha Delta Phi chapter at the University of Alabama. In the spring of 2013 our Alabama brothers made the trip again and initiated their first official pledge class alongside ours. Despite our short life on campus, we have reached many goals. We placed first in Dance Marathon 2 years ago and runner up this past year. We placed 3 rd this year in Homecoming. In addition, last year we won Most Improved Chapter from our Internationals. The Florida State University Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi is home to a member of the International Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is made up of 3 Undergraduate and 2 Graduate brothers. A brother who graduated from our chapter last semester also works as a Chapter Service Consultant (CSC). A CSC travels across the nation and evaluates the chapters he visits. Over the past year we have established an Alumni Organization based out of Tallahassee. The founders of our chapter are now the founders and members of the Alumni Association. This allows for great networking. opportunities
