Strategy for evaluation and refinement of algorithms across platforms. Environment Identify landscape linkages causes of chlorophyll-a and cyanobacteria. Health Exposure and human health effects in drinking and recreational waters. Economics Behavioral responses and economic value of the early warning system. Notifications Bring the technology to EPA, states and tribal partners.

4 Work Package 1: Goals National cyanoHAB field and continuous water quality database for lakes, reservoirs, and estuaries. Use QC data tiers and environmental health risk thresholds for algorithm development/calibration/validation. Release of CyanoHAB database towards end of project with supporting information National ecological synthesis and interpretation of cyanoHABs from field and continuous data.

1st QTR Data dictionary for database Data ingestion template Design database 2nd QTR Begin ingesting and processing data with focus on CA, FL, OH, and New England States (including historical data). Finish database design and build relational architecture. All states targeted in FY17, but will accept data now. 3rd QTR Continue data ingestion and processing Begin database export automation 4th QTR Database refinement

Phytoplankton (cyanobacteria) Abundance Relative Abundance Biovolume Pigments Chlorophyll including pheophytin data Phycocyanin Cyanotoxins Organic Matter – TOC, DOC, SUVA, CDOM, FDOM, Water Color Particulates - Secchi Depth, Suspended Solids, turbidity Want data sets with at least one of the highly desired parameters.
