Students must be able to select appropriate software applications based on their needs. Courses must be frequently revised. 8 ICT FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS Record lectures. Use speech to text software. Enlarged fonts and coloured screens, etc. help in reading. Software enabling setting different difficulty levels for each students. Screen readers, Braille printers, etc. to be part of ICT infrastructure.

9 ICT FOR OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING Gives opportunity to students who have dropped out or cannot continue formal education. Access to e-books, digital learning resources, etc. shall be developed as student support services. All open and distance learning institutions should provide online services for admissions, examinations, grievance redressal, etc. Online courses can enable the students to have access to expert teachers.
