2 Six million Jews were murdered by the Nazi’s
Another five million non-Jews were also killed gay people, priests, gypsies, people with mental or physical disabilities, communists, trade unionists, Jehovah's Witnesses, anarchists, Poles and other Slavic peoples, and resistance fighters “If we held one minute of silence for every victim of the Holocaust, then we would be silent for eleven and a half years.” -Source unknown-

3 Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party created in the Third Reich the most extreme and terrifying example of a government controlling the people with complete power that the world has ever seen. How could this happen?

5 A major factor in the Nazi’s effectiveness as a political force, was that not only did they ruthlessly deploy violence against those who disagreed with them, but they also utterly mastered the art of propaganda, fabricating a national ideology around their twisted beliefs.

10 The following slides are cartoons from Julius Streicher’s Der Sturmer, one of Hitler’s earliest followers. These cartoons were published in newspapers from  

11 WW II started in 1939, some of the examples you will see were being published well before the war even started.
