Format - Open Book - Notes written in the book and highlighting are allowed. - Notes written on separate paper is NOT allowed. - Post it notes are NOT allowed, even for chapter numbers.

Reminders: The learning expectations are the same from the Mid-term paper. - Why? We think that you can improve as the results from the Mid-term were not as strong as the first term.

Point of view Can mean one of two things: A) the point of view from the character B) A character’s idea/thoughts towards something/someone else in the plot.

For example: A) Chapter 16 was told from the point of view of Lina. B) In Chapter 7, it was Captain Fleery’s point of view that the Builders would save Ember.

Short Answer Questions: - They are worth two marks each: 1 x Correct answer 1 x Where the answer was located HOWEVER: - If a question asks for two examples or two pieces of information, then each one is worth one mark each.

For example 1: What was Doon’s point of view of his father in Chapter 6? Doon thought that his father is quite calm, he compared him to a glass of water (p. 89)

For example 2: What caused nobody in Ember to be aware of the outside world? (Chapter 20) On page 260, it says that the babies must have no knowledge of the outside world.

For example 3: Provide the names of two people that know that Mayor Cole is not being honest to the people of Ember: - Lina, Doon, or Looper (only two names) One mark each

Point Allocation: AA-B+BB-C+CC-D+D 151413121110987 - 6< 6 Each learning expectation has 5 M.C. questions and 5 short answer questions Total is out of 30 marks.
