1 Faith 09 THE CONFESSION OF OUR FAITH

2 Mark 4:14 14 The sower sows the word. Words are faith seeds. You reap the fruit of what you plant in your heart, positive or negative. When you plant God’s word in your heart, you start experiencing God’s Life (2 Peter 1:2-4).

3 Mark 4:26-29 26 And He said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. 29 But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come."

4 James 3:2 2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. It is an absolute necessity to stop saying negative things. Our words define us; we are perfected of defiled by them. (Rom 12:1-2)

5 The tongue is life’s steering wheel!
James 3:3-5 3 Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. The tongue is life’s steering wheel!

6 James 3:5-6 See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. The tongue defiles the whole body and beyond; businesses, marriages, bank accounts, etc! (Matt 15:10-11)

7 James 3:9-10 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. It is NOT ok to say negative things, regardless of the situation. We need to be consistent in our confession.

8 Heb 4:14 14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Heb 10:23 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

9 Rom 10:10 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 2 Cor 4:13 13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak,

10 14 A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth,
Prov 12:14 14 A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man's hands will be rendered to him. Prov 12:18 18 There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health.

11 4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
Prov 15:4 4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Prov 16:24 24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

12 20 A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
Prov 18:20 20 A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Prov 18:21 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

13 Meditation = Speaking/Muttering
Josh 1:8 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Meditation = Speaking/Muttering Meditation >>> Action >>> Success
