4 + State Steering Committee for Ninh Thuan nuclear power plants, headed by Deputy PM + Master plan for nuclear energy development for the period to 2030 + Project on human resource development for the period 2011 – 2020 + Master plan for 2 first plants location + Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) missions in 2009 and 2012 Education & Training Responsibility + MOST: Implementation of domestic/overseas training for staff of state management organizations, regulatory bodies, TSO, R&D + MOET: Implementation of plan for domestic/overseas undergraduate and graduate program in nuclear disciplines under Scheme 1558 + EVN: Implementation of domestic/overseas training for staff after recruitment, implementation of non – degree education BACKGROUND

5 Current status of nuclear power workforce is 300 staff with the different fields, including 80 staff of state management and regulatory body, and 220 staff of R&D and TSO. CURRENT STATUS AND HRD REQUIRED UP TO 2020

10 + Nuclear power infrastructure development is challenging for new comers like Vietnam. Therefore, its has to get unified efforts of all Vietnamese agencies, institutions, organizations and effectively, timely receive international support of IAEA and nuclear states. + Capacity building has been recognized as important key point in the national nuclear program and should be fully developed. + E-learning is one of the best way to share the knowledge and experiences between organizations and universities. The technical support from IAEA will be useful for VietNam. CONCLUSION THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION
