7 College Ready Classes  Colleges across Utah suggest taking: 2 – 3 Years of a Foreign Language  Spanish, German, French, Japanese, American Sign Language (ASL), Latin, Chinese 4 Years of Math  Only 3 years need to graduate from High School 3 Years of a Lab Based Science  Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics

8 Let’s Do Some Math  You will be in high school for 4 years  Each year you will earn 8 Credits. Term (Quarter) =.25/Class Semester (2 Terms) =.5/Class Year (4 Term or 2 Semesters) = 1.0/Class  Full Year of English Earns 1 Credit  What is 4 years x 8 Credits/Year = 32 Credits Total  How many credits do you need to Graduate? 28 Credits Total  Why is there a difference? Seminary does not give you academic credit

9 How do I choose which classes to take next year? Remember - you have 4 years to earn 28 credits. Make 9th count!
