7. Focus Lessons Mini-lesson (about 10 minutes) Teaches a strategy, such as: ◦Writing ◦Spelling ◦Reading skill/strategy for the week ◦Vocabulary ◦Grammar Begins each Daily 5 session

8. Strategy Groups Teacher meets with small groups to work on Reading strategies listed on the CAFÉ menu board.

9. Individual Conferences Teacher meets with students individually to discuss writing or work on their reading goals.
