As a result, our geospatial data and tools assets are managed in relation to a specific and often single Environment Canada purpose or application. The persistent effects of this are; ▪Lack of knowledge and access to the geospatial information assets… ▪Inability to combine geospatial information to help address the issues of the day. ▪Lack of effective governance over geospatial information... ▪Lack of connections between content creation, sharing and preservation. ▪Lack of a mechanism for joint purchasing of geospatial content, tools and services. have been developed independently
