18.  Copy the following sentence on loose leaf:  The winter sun looked very pale and unusually distant.  Underline the subject once.  Underline the predicate (verb) twice.

19.  Label the 1 conjunction.  Label the 4 adjectives ( answers the questions which one, how many, what kind) and articles  Label the 2 predicate adjectives (describes the subject but is located after the verb)  Label the 2 adverbs ( answers the questions how, when, where, to what extent)

20.  Each word in the sentence should be labeled at this time.  Under the sentence draw this:  1. enter the subject before the vertical line and the predicate after the vertical line.
