5. The Purpose: To find out:  the affective reactions of preschool kids, the parents, the classroom teacher, and the researcher- teacher towards Turkish instruction  the effectiveness of Turkish instruction  the challenges of developing materials for Turkish which is a less commonly taught language in the US

6. Methodology:  20-30 min. teaching  twice a week  visual aids, songs, games, hands-on activities  basic words and expressions  reflective teaching journals  the feedback of the leading classroom teacher  the article of a parent posted on her blog.  the informal talks with parents

7. Findings: Affective reactions of kids  Curiosity and eagerness  Awareness of Turkish as a lang.  Short attention span  Interesting material: interested students

8. Findings: Affective reactions of the classroom teacher  Welcoming and helpful  Cooperative and involved in the process  Modelling the kids how to do things  Continuous feedback on my teaching
