Welding Tool ID

What to do!  In order to receive all points that you missed, you must have the correct tool next to the name and what it is used for.

1. Metal Band Saw  Used to cut metal

2. Strikers  Used to start the Oxy- fuel machines

3. Arc Gloves  Used for Arc welding  DO NOT GRAB THE METAL WITH THEM!!

4. 6011 Welding Electrode (stick)  Used for Arc welding  Push and pull method  90-105 amps

5. Wire Cutters  Used for cutting wire and filler rod.

6. Torch Body  Used on Oxy-fuel welding and cutting

7. 7018 Welding Electrode (stick)  Used in Arc welding  “Drag” rod  130 amps and higher

8. Oxy-fuel Gloves  Used for Oxy-fuel cutting and welding

9. Tip Cleaners  Used to clean the tips of the torch bodies

10. #5 Shade Lens  Lens used in Plasma cutting and welding, and Oxy-fuel welding and cutting  Can see out of the lens

11. Vice Grips  Used to move metal to the quench tank and to hold metal

12. Oxy-fuel Machine  Uses fuel to weld or cut metal  Oxygen and Acetylene

13. Bench Grinder  Used to clean up metal and take off rust

14. Arc Helmet  Used in Arc welding

15. Slag Hammer  Chipping off slag from the welding electrode

16. #11 Shade Lens  Lens used in Arc helmets and for Arc welding  Can not see out of the lens until the arc is struck

17. Arc Welder  Uses electricity and heat to weld metal together

18. Regulator  Used to show you how much pressure is inside the Oxygen and Acetylene tanks

19. Soap Stone  Used to mark on your metal  Only thing that you can see when welding

20. Stinger  Item that holds the electrode

21. Chop Saw  Used for cutting metal

22. Oxy-fuel Torch  Used to cut metal with gas

23. Plasma Cutter  Used to cut thinner metal and designs

24. C-Clamp  Used to hold metal and pieces down to the table
