3  There were six titans and six titanesses. ◦ Six brothers and sisters  Who were their parents? ◦ Gaea and Uranus  First three children were Cyclopes: ◦ Lightning, Thunder and Thunderbolt ◦ Huge ugly one eyed monsters ◦ All three worked as smiths ◦ Each was banished to the underworld

4  Gaea had three more sons called the Hecatonchires each with 50 heads and 100 arms.  Uranus threw these monstrous creatures into the underworld.  Gaea became angry and wanted her children back.  She came up with a plan….

5  Gaea gave a sickle to her sons to kill their father.  Cronus was the only one that had the courage to kill their father.  He removes his fathers manhood.
