Prefixes - Mono - Hexa - Di - Hepta - Tri - Octa - Tetra - Nona - Penta - Deca

4 The Prefix Mono is NEVER used for first element

5 Example Compound: CO First element is C for Carbon Named Carbon
First element has 1 atom (do not use mono) Second element is O for Oxygen Named Monoxide Full Name of compound is Carbon Monoxide
