Quitting is a serious concern to God! 2 Pet.3:9 Eph.5:23 Quitting is detrimental to the quitter! Quitting discourages the church! Acts 2:47 Eph.4:12-16 Quitting, tragically and unnecessarily, harms your family and your friends!

2 Quitting CHURCH the GOD MADE PLANS FOR HIS CHURCH EVEN BEFORE TIME BEGAN Ephesians 3: Matthew 16:18 Matthew 16:28 Mark 9:1 Acts 1:3 Acts 2:47 Colossians 1:18 IS IT POSSIBLE TO KNOW WHEN SOMEONE HAS QUIT THE CHURCH? “Absenteeism” (Acts 20:7; Hebrews 10:24-25) Quitting the church has more than one symptom

3 Quitting CHURCH the A person quits the church when he quits acting like the church in life and example (Eph.5:25-27; Jam.1:27)! A person quits the church when he refuses to accept the authority of Christ, as head of the church, or the elders as overseers and shepherds of our souls (Col.1:18; Heb.13:17; 1 Pet.5:1-4)! A person quits the church when, as a priest, he no longer offers spiritual sacrifices to God (1 Pet.2:9; Rom.12:1-2)! A person quits the church when he no longer abounds to every good work (2 Cor.9:8; Col.1:10; Titus 2:11-14)!

4 Quitting CHURCH the Make A Good Start:
Believe in Jesus as God’s Son (John 8:24) Turn from your sins (Acts 17:30-31) Confess your faith in Christ (Matt.10:32-33) Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) Live a faithful Christian life (1 Cor.15:58) If You’ve Been A Quitter, Come Back: Turn from your sins (Acts 8:22) Confess your sins to God and pray for forgiveness (1 John 1:9; Acts 8:22)
