5 5 SDO Updates HL7 DAF FHIR IG  DAF PSS A new Project Scope Statement was introduced at the HL7 WGM with our sponsoring work group, Infrastructure and Messaging (InM WG) The PSS is a way to account into the DAF FHIR IG any updates from pilot implementations, any changes for FHIR DSTU R2.1 and beyond, and any changes from Meaningful Use regulations It was Approved by InM, Structured Documents (SDWG), and the US Realm Board Committee (USRBC). It will be directed now for additional approvals with the Foundation and Technology Steering Division, and then further to the HL7 Technical Steering Committee The sponsoring work group for the DAF FHIR DSTU IG, Infrastructure and Messaging (InM), meeting artifacts can be found here: http://www.hl7.org/Special/committees/inm/index.cfm http://www.hl7.org/Special/committees/inm/index.cfm

6 6 SDO Updates HL7 FHIR Connectathon  FHIR Connectathon  The HL7 FHIR Management Group (FMG) has decided that all tracks for the upcoming FHIR Connectathon in January 2016 will run as “official” in Orlando, given that the coordinator is in attendance and all test scripts are created and provided.  A survey with detailed descriptions of the candidates for connectathon tracks was sent out  The following five organizations will be participating by testing DAF profiles:  Cerner (3 attendees)  Qvera (1 attendee)  CareEvolution, Inc (1 attendee)  Aegis.net, Inc (1 attendee)  InterSystems (1 attendee)  If you are an implementer of DAF profiles, please participate in testing of the DAF profiles at the HL7 Connectathon (Also located on the S&I Wiki DAF page)HL7 Connectathon

11 RAHN Dataglider Technology Team Seeking DAF Phase 3 Pilot Partner We are beginning to seek researchers and data marts in support of our pilot proposal – PCORnet sites or other data marts that satisfy DAF’s requirement Pilot sites need to be working with data sources/data holders currently who will be able to provide the data necessary for research – Researchers to query the data marts Pilot sites need to be working with researchers currently or planning to work with researchers who will be using the data for performing their research Partnering with us gives you a platform that includes: – A backend and middleware that supports FHIR throughout the process – An advanced and flexible front end with a built-in computational engine useful for research Contact Dr. Steve Beller at sbeller@nhds.com; 914-271-5434 ext 2

17 17 SDO Updates DAF Publications  DAF FHIR IG DSTU (HL7) On September 23, 2015, Health Level Seven® International (HL7®) published Release 2 of the HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) Draft Standard for Trial Use (DSTU). Additionally, we are pleased to announce that the DAF FHIR Implementation Guide, a US-realm specific implementation guide, has also been published!! The DAF FHIR IG identifies and recommends standards for the interoperable representation and transmission of data using the notion of a Query Stack which modularizes the various layers of the Data Access Framework.DAF FHIR Implementation Guide  DAF Document Metadata Based Access IG (IHE) On September 24, 2015, the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Patient Care Coordination (PCC) Technical Committee published The Data Access Framework (DAF) Document Metadata Based Access Implementation Guide. This US National Extension provides requirements and guidance on accessing clinical documents created during clinical workflows. The guide accomplishes this using RESTful resources based on HL7 FHIR® and the more traditional SOAP based IHE Profiles.The Data Access Framework (DAF) Document Metadata Based Access Implementation Guide
