Eligibility for Graduation To be eligible to participate in Graduation, a student must: 1.Have at least 19 credits before entering the final semester. 2.Be registered in Semester 2 for enough courses that total at least 24 credits. 3.Have passed or be passing all required courses at midterm of Semester 2 in the year you plan to graduate. (if not we will bond, you will have two weeks to fix, parents are informed, grad may be lost) 4.Satisfy the requirements of Christian Ethics 30 and attend the Grade 12 Retreat.

3. Eligibility for Graduation 5. May only participate in one Graduation. 6. Hand in Transition Plans, attach it to Grad Application. 7. Complete the Application to Graduate form. 8. Attend TGG 9. Pay all school fees/return all school materials, uniforms and books

4. Honour Roll Grade 12 Honour Roll is calculated differently than the other grades. It is based on your first semester final marks and your second semester mid-term marks. If you are taking a cyber school class like CE 30 or HI 30, (required courses) you must be at mid-term in that course for it to be calculated. If you are not, you will not be eligible for Honour Roll. Required Courses for Honour Roll Calcuation ELA30 and ELB30 CE30 HI30 or NS30 4 next highest Level 30 classes

5. French Immersion Honour Roll Required Courses for Honour Roll Calculation EC30 SSIM30 FRIM30 ELA30 or ELB30 4 next highest Level 30 classes

6. The Application to Graduate Must be completed. You will receive a copy of your transcripts on the Application to Graduate form, along with the graduation completion requirements statement. Both must be returned. Make sure the list of your credits is accurate from grade ten to now, including the ones you are currently taking. Include credits received from other schools like cyber. Also need to include height for Grad gown. If unable or not wanting to participate in grad please indicate on form.

7. Grade 12 Retreat All Grade 12 students are required to attend the Retreat on: Wednesday, June 1, 2016 St. Thomas More College, U of S More details to follow from Mrs. Brodie

8. SJHS Graduation Tuesday, June 28, 2016 Graduation Mass and Exercises Holy Family Cathedral – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (need to be @ Cathedral to line up at 9:15 am) Graduation Banquet Prairieland Hall – 6:30 pm sharp Presentation of St. Joseph Guardians Prairieland Hall – following banquet, approximately 9:00 Graduation Dance Prairieland Hall – 9:00 – 11:00 pm

9. Graduation Mass and Exercises Must wear cap, gown and stole. Wear comfortable shoes. Shorts may not be worn under the gown. Suggest you don’t wear tux or gown during Exercises. Book hair appointments/photos after the exercises. Gown and stole must be returned immediately after the ceremony.

10. Graduation Banquet, Grand March and Dance Arrive early for the banquet to avoid traffic. (Same day and place for other Grads) Banquet will begin at 6:30 pm sharp. Sign boards in the hall will direct you to your tables. Presentation of the Guardians will begin shortly after banquet is over. Banquet costs are not included in grad fees at start of school year. Ticket costs have risen this year, still finalizing cost with Prairieland. Bring a change of clothes for AfterGrad. Parents must bring clothes into you at end of the evening. If you (the Graduate), leave Prairieland you will not be allowed back in.

12. Final Words Grad is still 8 ½ months away, make a plan, pace yourself. Remember Grad is one day, what you really need to plan for is life after grad. Pass all your classes! If you are struggling, talk to someone! Be Leaders. Have a great year.
