3. What do I need? Title: Choose a catchy title. Make it specific. It should describe one of these three types of projects: an investigation, a collection or model, or a demonstration of a scientific principle.

5. Still needing… Abstract: this is a brief summary of your project Exhibit. Can have a model, pictures, samples, etc.

6. Research folder Remember, your name or face cannot be ANYWHERE on the project (just lightly write it on back with pencil). This ensures judges do not know who it belongs to so they can be fair. Your research folder should contain: title page, your hand-written abstract, research report, and bibliography/works cited page. You can include copies of any charts, graphs, or pictures, but its not required.

8. More necessary info Your research report is basically your abstract written in paragraph form. Paragraph 1: tell name of project, problem trying to solve, state hypothesis. Paragraph 2: summarzie steps you took to perform the experiment. Do not make a list. Use transition words such as first, next, and finally in your paragraph. Paragraph 3: summarize the results of your experiment. Did your experiment turn out the way you thought it would? Why or why not? Paragraph 4: tell what you learned from conducting the experiment. Would you do anything different if you had to do it again? Your research paper may be more than 4 paragraphs if necessary. If you have more background info, include it.

9. Bibliography page The bibliography page tells where you got your information. These are called sources. One source could be your science book since we covered the scientific method.
