Participate in Shared Governance Participate in shaping your work place. – We have the opportunity to help develop our rules.  Faculty Senate – Talk to the faculty senator in your department. – Participate in senate committees or as a senator yourself. But: Don’t get side-tracked by too much service. Research and teaching have to come first !
