July Congress votes in favor of Richard Henry Lee’s motion to declare the freedom and independence of the thirteen American colonies from England July The second Continental Congress met and approved the declaration of independence

7 Solving the Problems States had to resort to persuasion and force, to bounties and the draft George Washington becomes commander Congress asks for money from the states, but it never receives enough Ended up having to issue paper-currency (inflation)

Continental Congress had no power to enforce anything Patriots were not well-supplied Money had no value British blockades made it hard on the civilians Americans endured all this for their cause of freedom Please refer to the box titled Supplying the Continental Army, on page 69 of the text book

Battles of the Revolution (15 points) page 3. Articles of the Confederation (15 points) page 4. Constitution (15 points) page Each article must contain 10 facts and 1 image -Image must be by hand
