3.  Differential Weathering - a process by which softer, less weather- resistance rocks wear away, leaving harder, more weather- resistant rocks behind.

4.  Remember, weathering takes place on the outside surface of rocks.  The more surface area the faster the weathering occurs.  Small rocks weather faster than large rocks.
