3 Project Objectives Deploy an initial regional ATIS information infrastructure and make this data available to TripCheck and other Information Service Providers. (OR0204B). Designate ITS standard(s) to be used to send/receive data. This will include network transmission protocol(s), security/encryption standards and data packaging standards (XML, IEEE, etc.). Identify and implement the ability to selectively send/receive new and legacy data using standard ITS transaction set(s). Develop and/or update inter-agency agreements as needed. Develop processes that will be used for adding data sets and maintaining the technical infrastructure after this project is complete.

4 In scope connections Collection From

15 The outcome

16 Feedback I would really like to thank you and all of your team for making this such an easy process.  You were incredibly responsive.  As such I would be happy to take a few moments to answer your questions. Yes, I have completed pulling your data feed into our traffic server.  It was very simple actually. As mentioned above the team has been very helpful and responsive.  The documentation was very complete for the most part.  There was an error with one of the URLs, but an was sent out correcting the problem. Last Friday we rolled out or ‘TrafficGauge for PC’ application.  This application provides, for free, users with traffic information for twelve major cities across the United States.  Of course Portland is one of those cities.  At this point we do not have a timeline for creating a TrafficGauge device for the Portland area, but that could change given user feedback.  To download the application visit . I’m guessing you have heard this before, but we are always interested in more data.  If we could provide our customers with alternative routes or extended coverage into Vancouver that would be fantastic.

17 More Feedback TripCheck Traveler Information Portal (TTIP) customers.
We, on the TripCheck TTIP team, are always curious to hear from our partners and customers. Our new TripCheck Traveler Information Portal launched recently, and we would appreciate some early feedback on your experiences with the new portal. A few question for you: 1) Have you developed and deployed a process to retrieve TTIP data?  [Steff] Yes 2) What has been your experiences with our process, documentation, and feedback loop as you have worked with TTIP? [Steff] The communication has been stellar – the best on any project I’ve seen hands down. The feed has great data, is easy to get, well documented and quite stable. 3) What general timelines has your firm or organization established for sharing the data with your customer base?  4) What would you like to see improved?[Steff]  There are two things that would help us out. One would be to be able to just browse the feed in IE. The second is that in the documentation it says “Requests for a specific file should not be made more often then the specified frequency or an error message will be returned.” This means that if we stop and then restart our aggregator we will get an error. We have to wait for at least two minutes to get the feed so we have to write specific code to work around this.

19 Tripcheck Travel Information Portal Administration
This is a Transport System ODOT will manage infrastructure ODOT will manage ISP sign-up’s ODOT will implement new flows Transport will manage the network Transport will determine data to be provided All agencies that provide data are responsible to report changes and outages to the change management process.
