1 Evaluate using C.R.A.P. design principles Contrast Repetition Alignment Proximity

2 Draw lines to show Alignment Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Left: good looks like stylistic boat Right good: look like many minimalistic tennis balls hitting a racket

Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Left: no use of symmetry, does not line up with anything else on the page but a pretty design with good contrast Right: nicely laid out and regular with good use of proximity, contrast and alignment Good amrgin 3 Draw lines to show Alignment

4 Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design I would go so far as to say excellently laid out, perfect use of white text on back background, good contrast, good font consistency (except on Porsche but that has to be in a certain font since it’s a brand name), correct alignment and proximity

5 Draw lines to show Alignment Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Significantly worse than the last, two many different colours, Slanted to the side with only one direction obeying the rule of symmetry, a bit of the car appears to have been cut off by the edge And the 66’s bottom

6 Alignment & Contrast Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design The bottom half of the design is good for lineing up, and the overall contrast is good However the G made up of works only lines up properly at one point with the name sitting above its tail end the rest is messy

7 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Beautiful symmetry on all parts (excluding the leaf) well laid out nice contrast great margine fly lines up multiple times with both itself and the stalk, good proximity

8 Comment on the design US war propaganda It got good contrast and repetition and proximity however as you can see it nearly but not quite lines up in a large number of places, this might be deliberate however in order to cause a sense of wrongness in any who view it since its supposed to make you fear the Germans

9 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design This is appalling bad font choice, bad text colour choice, different colours in text, badly aligned text, looks haphazardly splashed across the screen, windows start bar still visible, intrusive icons, contact details not capitalised like second paragraph but first paragraph is first and second paragraph not aligned c

10 Comment on the design here Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Just as terrible as the lat one, all crap principles not obeyed, awful text choice, colour, alignment proximity and reptetition

11 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design A 3 copy of the awful layout, not any use of Crap, No contrast, repetition, bad font, bad colour, bad alignment, bad everything

12 Visual games with negative space Repeating design – check it out No vertical symmetry but very nice horizontal symmetry, very fun optical illusion to make you only able to see one set of legs at a time Great use on contrast, white with black highlighting, black with white highlighting all merged together looks wonderful

13 Negative space Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design At first glance there appears to be little symmetry with the shape but there is in- fact some good symmetry with it and the text below the title, good use of both text and contrast

14 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Text good font and aligned with itself well The brain and the shadow of the person don’t really alight with the text OR each other, the brain is of centre the shadow isn’t but it still doesn’t work with the brain or the text edges

15 Dynamism from simple shapes Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Despite being so incredibly surreal there is a suprising amount of symmetry within the structure

16 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Good overall symmetry but only limited symmetry between each of the 4 squares, they seem more like 4 separate posters, since the colours are so contrasting they seem almost like they don’t belong near eachother so contrast and proximity are both a bit wacked

17 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design Good symetrey with the text but limited to bad symmetry with the picture to the text Contrast in the picture is slightly off putting as well, a good minimalist style but the colours are bad

18 Interpret this example: my interpretation of this piece is that it is terrible, ugly badly laid out, glaringly poorly designed with bad contrast symmetry, repletion and alignment

19 Comment on the design The Korean text translates as “wicked man” Good proximity, contrast and repetition the skulls are very well laid out, the chain and the words are good and the missiles are nicely aligned The skull and text alignment is pleasing

20 Comment on the design Concert in Charlotte, NC Excellent contrast, great proximity and nice repletion with good symmetry all round good, nicely laid out pretty, you eye can skate over it easily and see the important bits The middle text is a bit small though

21 Comment on the design Concert in Cuyahoga Falls, ON Good text font and colou, good overall colour, great looking mountain and colour on mountain but badly alighed with everything else, good proximity and repetition

22 Comment on the design Concert in Great Woods? To much detail, to bright colours No lines because absolutely no line symmetry, even supposedly square areas have strange bends (I think its quite badly drawn)

23 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design

24 Comment on the design Concert in Raleigh, NC

25 Comment on the design Concert in Chicago, IL

26 Comment on the design Copy and paste the lines Comment on the design

27 Comment on the design Concert in Portsmouth, VA
