Classroom Procedures  Be on time!  Book bag/ backpack placement in computer lab room  Passes: Nurse/ Guidance/ Lavatory –Must use appropriate pass –Must sign out –One person at a time out with Bathroom pass  Computer lab seating assignments  Absences from class –Pass from Main Office  Do not leave until I dismiss you from class  Objectives/Demonstrations / In-class assignments

4. ECA Syllabus On My Wiki Site  We meet 6 days / cycle  Materials needed for class  Grading policy  Classroom expectations and management

5. Class Expectations  Arrive to class prepared, on time, and ready for the day’s lesson.  Maintain and display respect for people and property in the classroom.  Leave food and beverages outside of the classroom.  Keep cell phones and electronic devices OFF and out of sight.  Work only on ECA related work while in the classroom.  Turn in assignments on time and make up owed work promptly.  Stay in their seats until dismissed by the teacher.  Log off / shut down machines at end of period.  Push in your chairs at end of period.

Computer Lab Rules  Highlights of agreement:  As Aretha would say: Treat people and property in room with R-E-S-P-E-C-T  iPod and Cell phone usage: PROHIBITED IN LAB  No food, drink, or gum chewing  Use of computers for class work only  At the end of class: Please log off computer and push in your chair

8. Notebook Checks  Organization is key! Your work needs to be organized  Keep notebook in C-358 in designated area  Notebook checks are graded as an assignment  Notebook checks are unannounced!

9. Forms to be reviewed  Make sure you read in detail on my Wiki Web Site – Syllabus – Notebook policy – UHS Computer Lab Rules – Logging In Procedure – ECA Contract  You and your parent(s) / guardian(s) need to read and review these documents through my Wiki Web Site.

10. Forms to be signed and returned  Due: Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011  Student and Parent /Guardian Contract and Parent Contact information  This is your first assignment and will be graded!
