3 INTRODUCTION Anther culture is the method to obtain haploid plants by growing them under controlled conditions in lab. First anther culture technique was developed by Guha and Maheshwari in 1964. That way can be used is over 200 species of plant including barley, rice, tobacco, and more.

4 REQUIREMENT For any anther culture in in-vtro condition require the nutritional medium, hormones or growth regulators. Temperature, Suitable equipment’s, culture room with suitable conditions. etc.

5 PROCEDURE Young flower bud uses for process. than surface sterilized this and rinsed with sterile water. Than carefully transfer to anther on petridish by used of dissection method for flower bud. Than culture on them on agar medium or in liquid medium. after abut says anther burst open. Than apply medium with growth regulators like cytokinin, and auxin in appropriate ration and allow to culture. After formation of plantlets in pots. applying them on open environment or field (soil).

6 IMPORTANCE Haploids produced in very large number with least of time.
In some species that induces cell dissection in immature pollen. Technique is very easy and frequently compare other methods.

7 ADVANTAGES Very low number of green plants obtain from this way.
some species showing high majority of non-haploid plants. many time anther got damage during its isolation. some times to achieved a individual response particular orientation is necessary in this process.
