2 DATA, DATA, DATA  Shady Spring Elementary has been a PBIS school for 5 years. Each year when reviewing our data the cafeteria has been an area of concern.

3 MAKING IT WORK  Involving cafeteria workers in reward process  Reflection tables in place of time-out area  Flower pots as a visual reminder  Hallway display of classes achieving their monthly goal

4 Getting the Children Involved  A flower pot and flowers were given to classroom teachers  Each student had the opportunity to design and color 2 flowers  Classes designed their flower pots

6 CRITERIA FOR EARNING FLOWERS  Teachers reviewed the Cafeteria “Code of Conduct” with students  Students must be, Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Prepared

9 REFLECTION TABLES  Students that do not follow the “Code of Conduct” are asked to sit at a “Reflection Table”  Primary students are asked to draw a picture or write what happened  Intermediate students are asked to do a written reflection of why they were asked to sit at the reflection table  Reflection sheets are given to classroom teachers
