2 Living things grow A seedling grows into a plant.
An infant grows into an adult.

3 Living things move A cheetah can walk and run. It is the fastest animal in the world. A bird can fly and walk. A butterfly flies from one place to another.

4 Living things have babies
All living things give birth to little ones. This is the young one of a lion. It is called a cub. A baby cub grows into a lion or a lioness. This is a baby falcon.

5 Living things respond to their environment
In the autumn season leaves turn orange and brown in colour. Animals respond to danger. A zebra runs when it sees a lion. In winter the leaves fall off trees.

6 Non-living things Non-living things cannot grow
Non-living things do not respond to their environment Non-living things do not have babies Non-living things cannot move on their own
