2 Game Compact Flash 1GB (up to 8GB) Contains Operating System and Game Programming Smart (SIM) Card provides content protection. On Native Gen 7 programs, the Smart Card must remain with Game Compact Flash card that is was issued with. On the emulated Mk6 programs the Smart Card does not have to be changed with the Game Compact Flash Card. The new Gen 7 program storage devices

3 Viridian games use a combination of Flash Cards instead of EPROM’s: Game Flash Card – 1GB Compact Flash Card contains all of the game and the operating system software. Smart Card – 1 GB SIM card, contains pieces of code and encryption from the Flash card, to prevent unauthorized duplication for Native Gen 7 games. Game Compact Flash Card Smart Card

4 Example of 13 Button Panel The “Emulated” or Mk6 programs use a 13 button panel, and the menus are the same as the Mk6 games in the MAV cabinet. Press A to move forward or A + I to move backward to select Game Type Press A + E to clear SRAM and continue Press A to move down, I to move up and E to get into the option and H to get out of option Use B to move forward and for some options use E to move backward To navigate through the Set Chip menus, the following buttons are used : Set Chip Using the “Set Chip” Compact Flash Card: D JKLMN I B E F H A C

5 The Native Gen 7 programs uses a 6 button panel, and the menus differ slightly from the Mk6 menus. Currently the font on the menus is much smaller than what is on the Mk6 games and is located in the upper left hand corner of the main monitor. slightly Game Rules Take Win Play Max Credit ServiceCash out Play To navigate through the Set Chip menus, the following buttons are used: Press Cash Out + Play to clear SRAM Press Cash Out + Play to clear SRAM Service – Previous option / menu (up). 6 Set Chip” Using the “Set Chip” Compact Flash Card: 1.Unlock and open the logic cage. 2.Remove the Game Compact Flash Card from the CF slot on the main board. Note: Do not remove the “Smart Card” during this process. Set Chip 3.Insert the Compact Flash Card, labeled “Set Chip”, into the CF slot on the main board, with lip on the compact flash card on the bottom, and facing the operator. 4.Turn power to the EGM to ON 5.After the game boots up, the operator will receive an on-screen warning that the memory will be cleared. 6.Before clearing the SRAM (memory), configure the game button panel type. 7.Clear the SRAM.

7 Game menus will have new additional information related to the new system.

8 These additional sub menus represent some of the features and capability of the new GEN 7 software, and an indication of where it is going.

9 The menu looks very similar to the Mk6 screen, but the text at the bottom of the screen is important for using the UPI (6)button panel
