2 Main Objectives of the Study  to give an insight into broad concepts of ‘sustainability’ and ‘sustainable lifestyles’  to analyze ‘sustainable lifestyles’ from an educational perspective at tertiary level  to highlight main types of literacies keeping in view core traits of 21st century generation  to outline practices of higher education institutions and illustrate them by the project ‘UseScience’

3 Three Pillars of Sustainability 2005 World Summit on Social Development identified sustainable development goals:  economic development  social development  environmental protection.

4 The Millennial Generation: Core Traits  actively exploring new technologies  comfortable with multitasking  team-oriented  sharing information  confident  open to change  open-minded

5 Types of Literacies 1. Digital Literacy 1. Technical or instrumental form - specific skills and techniques (e. g., computer literacy) 2. Critical form - mastery of ideas, careful evaluation of information, intelligent analysis and synthesis (e. g., critical sustainability literacy ) 2. Information Literacy the ability to obtain, evaluate, use and share needed information motivating the behavior of sustainable lifestyles
