2 Cracow is the city exactly on the intersection of 20 degrees East and 50 degrees North. According to some cartographers it is the geographical centre of Europe.

3 Cracow is one of the biggest cities in Poland. Population of the city - 757574 Surface of the city - 327 km 2

4 In the Middle Ages Cracow was a capital of Poland.

5 Cracow was founded many years ago. First information about Cracow come from 965 but first trails of settlement are older.

6 Cracow has got one of the biggest market squares in Europe.

7 In Cracow`s market square there are: Town Hall St. Wojciech`s church Sukiennice – in the Middle Ages it was a place of commerce Monument of Adam Mickiewicz, a poet …and a lot of tourists, Cracow`s inhabitants and pigeons.

8 In Cracow`s market square there are many happenings.

9 Every hour from St. Mary`s church’s tower a fireman plays a trumpet melody – ”Hejnal”. In the Middle Ages it was an alarm signal.

10 In Cracow there are numerous churches… …a lot of them are in the Old Town.
