3. My best friend is Peter. He has a little brother called George who is 5 years old. Peter also has a big sister called Barbara. She is 12 years old and has long brown hair which she likes to wear tied up in a ponytail. Peter and I are both 9 years old. Peter, Barbara and George’s parents invited our family to stay with them in their holiday home at a remote seaside place called silver sands for the summer school holidays. Their holiday home is a big cottage built on the beach front.

4. They own a big yacht which they dock on the jetty in front of their cottage. Every day we swam in the sea, climbed rocks, built sandcastles and had had lots of fun. One night while we were having a braai on the beach George noticed a small light out at sea that seemed to be coming closer and closer towards us. George ran onto the jetty to see if he could see the light better. Peter, Barbara and I followed him. Suddenly the light went off and then we heard George scream. We ran to help George. We shouted and called to him, but he did not reply. Then Barbara noticed that the yacht was also nowhere to be seen! Peter ran to get help.

5. The dad’s came running with a big, powerful flashlight while the mothers phoned for the sea rescue helicopter. When my dad shone his flashlight we saw George was being held captive by Pirates on Peters yacht! We heard a noise in the air. We looked up and saw the sea rescure helicopter flying in cricles around the yacht. The sea rescue man shouted to the pirates on a megaphone, “YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!” So the pirates were arrested and frightened George was airlifted onto the helicopter. He was taken back to his parents. The sea rescue men sailed the yacht back to the jetty and the pirates were taken to jail.
