We discuss human evolution because: We discuss human evolution because: –Speculation about human history and the natural world plays an important role in many societies –Culture is an expression on top of our biological base –Biology and culture are intertwined: complex brains have evolved with complex social organization –Our evolutionary history is part of what it means to be human
