2 Page 2 NP-IDPS-042 Sizing Estimate Assumptions Numbers are based upon the IDPS Sizing models –Includes all mitigations implemented in the model 4 sensors for NPP –CrIS –ATMS –VIIRS –OMPS One copy of products No repaired granules included in estimates Totals include all possible channels of imagery products –DNB Radiance, Reflectance, and NCC –Imagery Channel Radiance, Reflectance and EBBT –Moderate Channel Radiance, Reflectance and EBBT Limit is 2 Moderate Bands Imagery (we zeroed out all but the 2 largest) 14.18 Orbits per Day 20% estimate for HDF5 wrapping and external metadata

13 Page 13 NP-IDPS-042 Future Sizing Estimates Will be reported to all Centrals via the DFWG upon update Is included in IDPS sizing models Deliverable product sizing depends on detailed design of HDF5 files –Different ratio of HDF5/Internal format for each product –Model will track sizes of each deliverable product independently –HDF5 file implementation allocated to build 1.4 and 1.5 Updates will occur as: –Product formats and content are refined –DDS delivery design is complete –HDF5 conversion sizing is measured The sizing estimates will change as the models and data definitions mature!
