Students will read with a pencil to mentally prepare themselves for the analysis discussion. I will then read my raft aloud and explain why I wrote it. Allow students to do the same and collect them. Day 7 Chacacter Perspectives Due: Character map Acquire I will explain the monologues: students will be put in groups of their assigned characters and develop a monologue to read to the class about the characters. In groups of 4, discuss one another’s “compare and contrast graphic organizer” in order to develop a more varied collection. Then, introduce the idea of how and why authority was determined.
